About Allie Fals, MS, LCMHCA

Hi, I’m Allie (She/Her)

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) who works with women who have ongoing challenges with depression and anxiety. My goal is to help you stop dwelling on negative thoughts and start helping you get back to living life.

My Journey To Becoming A Counselor

I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I’m human. I’ve been been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help.

I help women who struggle with anxiety and depression because I struggle too. As a survivor of emotional abuse, I struggled a lot with the pain of the past. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to move forward. Going to therapy has turned my life around and has given me a sense of peace and direction.

My life experiences are what lead me to become the counselor I am today.

Helping People Gives My Life Meaning

Being a counselor is fulfilling. I love guiding people towards positive changes and seeing them finally getting the life they desire. The most rewarding thing about being a counselor is seeing a person walk away lighter, more free, and excited about their life.

I am committed to helping you get back to living life.

Our Sessions Are Focused On You

Sessions will provide you with the space to focus on yourself without feeling selfish. In feeling safe and comfortable, you’ll be able to gain clarity and explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals.

It’s important to me to provide a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to Counseling. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

As a counselor, I embrace the following philosophies…

  • I believe that empathy can change the world

  • I believe that change is possible when you allow yourself the space to do the work

  • I believe that loving and accepting ourselves for who we are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do

My Professional Background

I received a bachelor of arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). Afterward, I received my Master’s in counseling and educational development from UNCG. I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate for the state of North Carolina.
